I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013, and I realized pretty quickly that this is exactly what I love most of all.
Being able to get up close to people, moments, and stories—and capturing them just as they actually feel.
I was born in 1990, live in Stavanger, but love to travel and seek out that feeling of freedom. I especially enjoy Western Norway, Northern Norway, and really anywhere where mountains meet fjords. Whenever I can, I combine work with a sense of adventure—driving around, hiking in the mountains, parking the car in epic spots, and falling asleep under the starry sky visible through the skylight.
My camera has taken me all over Norway and Europe, and for that I’m eternally grateful.
Besides photography, I’m a mom to three active, wonderful teenage boys. I became a mom very early on, and it was while I was staying home with them that I started taking photos. They’ve definitely shaped who I am and how I see the world, and it almost hurts to think about how much I love them.
I started out in photography purely out of a love for the craft, without much experience. Today, I’ve photographed over 250 weddings, given lectures to other photographers, organized workshops, and am a member of Blikkfangerne —a network of some of Norway’s leading wedding photographers. But it’s a sense of adventure, passion, and love for authenticity, artistry, and the magic of photography that still drives me.
I’m always on the lookout for photos that evoke emotions. Photos with depth, intimacy, and honesty—ones that make you not just see, but truly feel the image. My goal is always to create something genuine, beautiful, and authentic, and to tell stories that matter—even for generations to come.
When you book me, I don’t just want to be your “photographer.” I’m a professional, but very informal. When people relax, forget about the camera, and see me as Lillian—as one of you—that’s when I capture those genuine expressions and emotions, and that’s when I do my best work. That’s what I’m always after, whether it’s weddings, families, portraits, or whatever else it may be.

I have revised the privacy policy to comply with the EU’s new regulations (see GDPR), which took effect in July 2018. Photographer Lillian Nordbø is primarily responsible for the information about you that is collected when you contact me by email. Your first name, last name, phone number, email address, and home address are also stored in the systems I use to keep track of clients, contracts, and photos. I use Studio Ninja and Pic-Time for this purpose, and Fiken for invoicing.
Your email address and home address are never used for any purpose other than contacting you regarding our collaboration. Your contact information will not be sold or shared. In some cases, your first name may be mentioned in blog posts and on social media if you, as a client, have given your consent.
When you visit my website, some information about you is automatically collected because Squarespace uses cookies. This is anonymized statistical data that, for example, shows how many people have visited my website and where in the world they are located. I can also see how many visitors I’ve had per day and what brought them to my website (e.g., Facebook, Google, or other sources). I can see which pages or posts are the most visited on my website and whether most visitors use a phone, desktop computer, or other device. Nothing more than that :) All of this helps me better reach my customers and provide better service to you.
