Nostalgic Home Photography: Idse
I’m probably more nostalgic than most. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to things from a bygone era—the remnants left behind by those who lived before us. There’s something mysterious about it—both the stories and the physical objects that bear witness to lives once lived.
This fall, I received an email from a former couple who wondered if I’d be interested in making the trip to Idse in Strand. They had moved into an 18th-century house and were interested in a home photo shoot. I realized immediately that this could potentially spark my ever-present nostalgic inspiration, and sure enough, my gut feeling was right.
Coming home from a photo shoot and feeling on cloud nine and inspired is pretty magical. Thanks for having me. And thanks for the coffee and pastry. It was SO nice!
And by the way, the photos turned out pretty good, too, hehe. Scroll down to see and read what they thought themselves :)
