Castle Wedding in Gothenburg, Sweden

In September, I hopped on a flight to Gothenburg and cruised along the country roads in the coolest rental car: a Fiat 500 😎 It felt a bit like stepping into a movie scene when I entered the beautiful Thorskog Castle. Not only were the surroundings absolutely gorgeous, but the courtyard was also filled with an exceptionally nice and fun group of people.

Weekends like this remind me of how incredibly privileged I am to have been able to travel around and photograph weddings in all kinds of towns and cities since 2013. You get to see so much, and you get to get up close and personal with people’s lives and relationships—and for me, I’ve grown tremendously through this experience over the years. Sitting in great conversations and laughing out loud with people I’ve never met before is quite unique, and that’s just one of the reasons why I love photographing weddings.
