Is It Worth It to Book a Wedding Photographer?

Have you also heard about people who’ve been married for a few years and later regret not investing in a photographer for their wedding day?
Or maybe it’s just me who hears these stories since I do what I do? I don’t know.
But people often think they want to save a few kroner (because we all agree that weddings are expensive), but I know that many, in hindsight, regret not prioritizing spending that money on something you’ll actually have left with after the day is over (rather than, say, an expensive cake that’s eaten in a few minutes).

Getting married is amazing and intense.
Both the lead-up and the day itself.

As the wedding draws to a close, the bubble you’ve been planning and looking forward to for years (and for some, perhaps even a lifetime) suddenly bursts.
For many, it feels a bit like the air is being let out of a balloon, and a void is left behind.
Knowing that the day has been immortalized and documented by a professional means the world to so many. When, after a few days, they receive a sneak peek of the day, they’re filled once again with that wonderful feeling, and when the entire gallery arrives, it’s like reliving the day all over again. Many say they see the day with new eyes, noticing moments and details that completely slipped past them.

It’s not as easy to keep the memories and feelings you had on your wedding day alive without photos. For me, many memories—both from childhood and more recent times—are stored in my mind in a completely different way, precisely because they’ve been documented. That’s definitely true of your wedding as well.

When I was a teenager, I thought I had to become a doctor or a midwife—to do something truly meaningful. But for me, receiving heartfelt messages about what the photos of their grandparents dancing their last dance at their wedding mean to them— that, to me, is a meaningful job.
Giving you photos that capture the love in their eyes is meaningful to me.
And that’s exactly what I’d love to be able to give to more people.
