Elopement — An Intimate and Meaningful Experience
Elopement photographer in Norway & Europe – for couples dreaming of a quiet and intentional way to get married, surrounded by breathtaking nature
Photography with Presence & Care
For couples who dream of an elopement in Norway or Europe that feels peaceful, deeply personal, and emotionally meaningful, this experience is crafted with care, space, and intention.
This is for those of you who want to step away from expectations and instead choose something intimate, unhurried, and meaningful—where your connection is at the heart of it all, and nature gently embraces you.
Whether you envision exchanging vows on a mountain ridge, beside a fjord, or in a quiet, wild landscape, I’m here to guide and document your story with warmth and sensitivity.
We’ll meet at your dream location in Norway or Europe, and I’ll document your ceremony and couple’s portraits with calm guidance and a gentle, observant approach.
I chose to create this page in English because many of the couples who elope in Norway are non-Norwegians, and I want to include all of you—all the couples who dream of eloping here, in the quiet and wild landscapes of the north.
Elopements hold a very special place in my heart. I love their intimacy—the unhurried pace, the honesty, and the space they create for genuine connection. For me, photographing elopements isn't about producing images; it's about cherishing intimate moments with care.
I am an adventurer at heart, deeply connected to nature, and I feel most alive when I’m moving through mountains, along fjords, and into places where the world feels vast and still. Norway’s landscapes are not just a backdrop to me—they make me feel alive, and I approach them with deep respect and love.
When you invite me to document your elopement, I come not only as a photographer, but as a calm, yet energetic and supportive presence. Someone who will gently guide you, give you a hug when needed, and step back when the moment calls for quiet.
If my perspective and way of being resonate with you, I'd love to hear your story.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Emily & Adam
“We couldn’t have imagined a more passionate, hardworking, or selfless photographer than Lillian. She went above and beyond to ensure that every need and wish was met for our dream elopement in Lofoten. From doing last-minute location scouting before our ceremony when the weather took a turn for the worse, to asking a closed café to let us use their restroom, to hiking up a mountain through deep mud puddles and running water, Lillian made our elopement better than anything we could have imagined. By capturing our adventures in Hamnøy, Henningsvær, and on Mt. Volandstinden, Lillian combined Norway’s epic landscapes and local culture into an unforgettable, awe-inspiring collection of timeless photos.
We also had the privilege of traveling to Loen with Lillian for more elopement photography, which was another incredible experience. From joining some friendly cattle on the shore of Lovatnet to overlooking Innvikfjorden from the summit of Mt. Hoven, Lillian helped us discover some of the best that Southern Norway had to offer.
Anyone can take photos, but capturing genuine emotions like love, vulnerability, and connection is an art, especially with more reserved and quiet couples like us. From the moment Lillian stepped behind the camera, her calming presence, warmth, and encouragement helped us be ourselves. She didn’t just photograph our elopement; she transformed moments into magic. The love and happiness she captured are impossible to fully express, and we will cherish the ability to remember them for a lifetime!
We never expected our elopement photographer to become a cherished friend, yet getting to know Lillian became one of the most beautiful parts of our journey. Half the joy of our elopement came not only from the moments she captured but also from the connection we shared along the way.
If you’re considering Lillian for your wedding or elopement, look no further! Her care, artistry, and presence extend far beyond photography, and we couldn’t be more grateful for our experience. For those dreaming of eloping in Lofoten or Loen: when love feels too vast for words, let the wild beauty of the landscape speak on your behalf.”

“During our search for a photographer for our wedding day in Norway, it was clear right from the start. Lillian’s enthusiasm and motivation stood out immediately—this is someone we would love to climb that mountain with!
On the day itself, that feeling was fully confirmed.
Lillian was a huge part of our special day. With her cheerfulness and energy, she walked with us to Trolltunga and helped us truly pause and appreciate the moment along the way.
What we appreciated so much is that not only the destination, but especially the journey there, was beautifully captured. The photos reflect exactly how we experienced that day.”

An elopement wedding is an intimate celebration of your love—just the two of you, or with a small circle of loved ones—in a beautiful place that holds special meaning for you. It’s about connection, being fully present, and the experience itself, rather than traditions or large guest lists. For many couples, it’s an opportunity to focus entirely on each other and create unforgettable memories together.
-
Great question! I’d like to get to know you first—who you are, where you are in the planning process, and what matters most to you. We’ll connect via video calls, discuss ideas, inspirations, and logistics, and together we’ll create a plan that feels right for your elopement. Once I understand your vision, I’ll draft a customized timeline and roadmap to bring it to life.
-
Absolutely! Once we know what you want, I’ll create a timeline that fits your wishes and the flow of the day. We’ll stay flexible because nature always has its own plans—but having a roadmap means you’ll arrive calm, present, and ready for the magic. I’ll also help with suggestions for accommodations, restaurant reservations, and local tips if you’d like a completely hassle-free experience.
-
Absolutely—I’d love to! I know many stunning locations in Norway (and throughout Europe), from dramatic fjords and hidden valleys to craggy peaks and ocean shores. I’ll help you find and adapt locations that match your style, your comfort zone, and the kind of adventure you’re imagining. We’ll work together until it feels like your dream setting.
-
Yes! An elopement can absolutely be legally binding if that’s important to you. In Norway and many other countries, you can take care of the legal paperwork in advance, or have a certified officiant present to legally marry you on your big day. Many couples choose to handle the legal aspects at home and then hold a symbolic ceremony during their elopement—a beautiful way to make the day truly feel like your wedding. I also offer support with this through my partner, who can lead a meaningful ceremony if you’d like. ❤️
-
Yes—if you want your elopement to be a legal marriage here in Norway. A certified officiant is required for the legal ceremony. That said, many couples handle the legal paperwork at home and choose to have a symbolic ceremony here instead—which is deeply meaningful and completely flexible. My partner and I offer this as an add-on: guiding you through a beautiful, personal ceremony while I document every moment.
-
Yes—and I love it! If hiking is part of your dream, we’ll work it into the day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, to move together, and to make your journey part of your story. We’ll plan your gear, pace, and timing so that it feels safe and joyful.
If, on the other hand, you’d prefer an elopement without having to worry about hiking, we’ll find the perfect spots for you as well. -
Many couples find this both beautiful and practical—taking care of the legal requirements at home, where it’s easier, and saving their celebration for a place that feels magical. If you choose this path, I can help design a meaningful symbolic ceremony here in Norway that feels just as significant—and deeply personal.
-
I recommend at least 2–3 hours, but this depends on your day: Will we be hiking between locations? Visiting multiple places? Do you want portraits, adventure shots, and sunset photos? I offer both shorter packages and full-day coverage —we’ll choose what best fits your vision.
-
Every season here has its own magic:
Summer & Fall — the most reliable weather and longer daylight hours — are often ideal for first-time adventurers.
Winter —dramatic landscapes, snowy scenes, and the northern lights—is stunning, but depends more on the conditions.
Spring — fresh, vibrant, and wild.
Truly, there’s no wrong time—just different vibes and possibilities. We’ll choose what feels best for your vision and comfort.
-
Comfort + style + practicality:
Good hiking boots
Windproof and waterproof layers
Something special to change into once we get to the scenic spots
It’s about finding the right balance between comfort for the terrain and outfits that suit you. We’ll plan for whatever weather comes our way and make it a beautiful part of your day.
-
The weather here is part of the adventure—and it can create stunning imagery. We always build flexibility into the day, with alternate schedules or weather-related moments woven into your timeline. Rain, wind, or clouds don’t mean there’s any less magic—often quite the opposite. And if something truly isn’t safe or enjoyable, we adapt.
-
Yes—absolutely! Elopements can be completely private, or shared with a handful of loved ones. It’s your choice. Some couples invite just one or two people, while others invite their families—all are equally beautiful and valid.
